Once a bright flower looked over to its companion, a tall beautiful flower, and asked, “how do you stay so tall and beautiful”?
“I reach for the sun.” Her companion responded.
“Yes, I get that, but there’s something about you that is different. What is it?”
“I reach for the sun.”
This answer was not satisfactory and the bright flower sat back to think. Of course the plant reached for sun, wasn’t that what they all did? Why was this tall beautiful flower so selfish with her information?
She looked up and stretched her neck at the sun. It felt very good, but this action was exhausting. She turned back to her tall companion feeling a little bitter inside at the effortless way the tall plant lapped up the sunlight. The tall flower looked down:
“Weeds look to the plants around them for survival. The strong and tall trees and flowers know to look to the source for light. I look up to the sun.”
