Things happen to us that we feel are unfair.
Many are consequences of decisions made and randomly forgotten.
We offer explanations and shelve responsibility to the back burner.
Here’s the question – at what point does one profess God’s justice? God holds a quality dear to the role of a parent – discipline. This is part of His unchangeable nature (Deut 8:5).
Accepting responsibility takes courage. It’s easier to fall into self-deceit.
Responsible action aids integrity – the state of wholeness. Inaction maintains sloth, a deadly sin. It gives permission to be careless about life. Accepting our role in a matter allows opportunities to learn.
We could use all the tools we can get. These are some of the ways God gives them to us.
