Look Up, Keep Walking, I Promise You, You Will Get There

The truth about walking looking down is that you never get to see what’s up.
You are so preoccupied with not tripping over things and missing potholes, that this becomes the existence of your walk.

Yes you were going toward a destination,
Had you looked up however,
You may have seen something better suited for you.
If anything else, you probably missed out on a quicker or scenic path.
The truth about walking looking down is that you are also thinking about what gets you down.
You are so preoccupied with not dreaming and allowing yourself to breath, that this cheek biting pondering becomes the essence of your walk.
Yes you have a lot of problems and no solutions,
Had you looked up however,
You may have had an epiphany or seen your problem in a completely different light.
If anything else, you probably missed out on a much needed fresh sight and breath of fresh air.
The truth about walking looking down is that you look and feel defeated.
Why is it that statistically those looking down are more prone to be attacked.
Why is it that we step aside for those who walk upright past us.
Why is it that a car waiting to turn the corner will be impatient with the one walking looking down.
How are you supposed to convince the world you are worth something when you don’t believe it yourself.
How is your brain supposed to think on how to act toward achieving your goals if all you do is abuse it with negative thoughts of yourself.
How is your body supposed to want to get up and act when you abuse it with all the substances you can stomach for the night, every night.
How is the mirror supposed to reflect back the You that Is, when you keep staring at the You that Isn’t.
How many books and shows and talks are you supposed to read, watch and listen to in order to believe that you are Possible, Perfect, Loved by the One that created You.
When do you take a stand. Then a step. Then a walk. Then a run. Then a fly.
Start by walking, to clear your mind, with your head a little bit higher than it normally would be. Do not talk, do not listen to anything, just walk. Give yourself a much needed break from the mental verbal abuse (thoughts) and distraction (music). Trust that looking Up and Around is Enough for Today. Every day.  Look Up, Keep Walking, I Promise You Friend, You Will Get There.
